Hiring Writers

Why is it so difficult to find decent writers. Surely people who are not great at writing should accept the fact that they are not qualified, yet we have to go through the process of vetting them.

A recent experience has revealed that when you are looking for a writer, do not ask for pre-written samples. Rather make up a topic there and then and ask the prospective writer to provide a sample based on this new topic within a defined period of time. If the writer is serious about getting your business they will come through.

There are a number of resources available on the internet, when looking for writers, one of which is the various freelancing sites; this one is not bad and has a range of specific positions and providers: It is known as GetAFreelancer where I have picked up numerous accounts, as well as a couple of decent writers.
